I love Fudge Rounds AND Marshmallow Supremes YUM.
And Hershey kisses do not taste like cheese, you silly Brit. I mean, they're definitely not up to Cadbury standards, but they're pretty good. They make some with a cherry sort of filling that are delicious.

I would be so up for swapping some Jaffa Cakes for some Marshmallow Supremes mmm
And ahaha Rachel. Maybe I was bitter because the Hersheys kiss took me about half an hour to open

Question for the Brits:
I was thinking about Doctor Who (as usual) and how it's pretty cool that one of the main characters (Jack) is like obviously bisexual and awesome and everybody's fine with that. Here in America, generally if there's a gay character in a show, they're like the stereotypical *fabulous* and there's almost never any representation of like, bisexuals and such. Because here in America, so many people are scared and offended by The Gays, you see.
How does Britain feel about that whole issue? I mean, here, we get all the "God Hates Fags" protesters and a lot of gay-hating, and big debates about whether they should be able to get married, etc. Does Britain feel about the same way, or are ya'll a little less uptight about it? Just curious.

I think we're much more of a liberal country than America. We've had civil partnerships for gays since 2005 and gays have been able to adopt since 2002. The age of consent for gays is 16, just like for straight people. You can also be open and serve in the army - I mean really, most army personnel are gay (raging generalisation I know, but it's maybe a little bit true)
I had no idea America was so conservative in parts until the election. Having read certain people's (ahem) facebooks and seen some of the fuckery, I was surprised. I mean I know not everyone will vote Obama but I was surprised how many states went Republican, but maybe that's my lack of knowledge.
Britain has always been more accepting of weird people, though. Bands like The Scissor Sisters, David Bowie, Boy George, Pet Shop Boys, Dead or Alive. None of them (except Bowie) were ever successful in America but they were here. We generally enjoy flamboyant electro-pop music more, so because of that gays are more accepted I guess.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Like I said, you can just tell by the portrayal of people in British tv shows, like Jack who is blatantly bisexual but is still a likeable, hero-figure.
Hopefully America will eventually follow suit and give up some of the crazy-ass conservationism. I mean, it's a step in the right direction that Obama is our president (and thank the Lord that Sarah Palin ended up nowhere near the White House) but we have a looooong way to go.

Yeah, as someone who lives in the trenches of retarded conservatism and just had a shouting arguement with my brother about the war and politics, we have a LONG way to go. Sometimes it makes me want to run screaming from the south, sometimes it makes me motivated to stay and be a teacher and maybe reach one or two in someway before the Republican disease catches them. Or at least make them see that minorites and gay people aren't from the devil.
It's one of 12415 reasons why UK > USA
