OMFG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Rory was the only good thing that Amy brought I hate her so much I hate her face and her stupid voice and her stupid hair okay that's a lie I love her hair I want it. Okay, maybe I dont hate her QUITE that much but now I'm just mad.
BUT anyway. It can't be permanent, right? RIGHT? But I KNEW that they were going to have to come up with some way to dispose of poor Rory for a while but this SUCKS it's like DONNA ALL OVER AGAIN and I can't HANDLE THINKING ABOUT THAT ANY MORE.
I MISS DONNA.
Sorry. I have angst.

I'M ANGSTING WITH YOU.
Rory did not die! Of course they'll fix it!
I miss Donna too. Amy mumbles and rushes her lines - effing enunciate, bitch! I'm really disliking every thing about her now to an irrational degree because I want her to go away so badly. Except her hair, I do still want her hair.
I like the way the Van Gogh story looks so far but man was Gene right, they are so just rehashing everything from seasons past. There are only so many important historical figures that have alien/Doctor interaction, surely, and they've already had one this season (Churchill)

LOL I just went and posted a novel on Gene's facebook. Here, I'll copy and paste it in here, it's in response to some of the stuff that he said.
"Yeah, Liz and I BOTH hate Amy. It's like they tried to do the Donna thing again but couldn't pull it off as well. Instead of being headstrong and snarky, she just comes off as spoiled, selfish and pouty.
I really do like the new Doctor, I think Matt Smith is doing a fantastic job. But David Tennant's first season (season 2) wasn't the best of his ... See Moretime there, so I'm hoping that they will eventually work out what they're going to do with Matt.
Well, and of course the crack thing is like Bad Wolf, but that's because they have something like that every season, so I'm not upset about that. I mean, they always have one thing that pops up over and over again in episodes, and the gets explained at the end. First season was Bad Wolf, second season was Torchwood, third season was Mr. Saxon, and then fourth season was Rose coming back.
And yeah, each of the other seasons didn't have more than one historical figure meeting. (Season 2 was Queen Victoria, 3 was Shakespeare, 4 was Agatha Cristie).
And I don't really consider Amy to be like Rose. I did like Rose, but she was kind of clingy and Amy isn't really that at all. I think her attempt to jump the Doctor's bones was more of her "I'm a spoiled brat who should get everything I want and right now I want to have sex with someone other than my fiance and here YOU are" then being like, legitimately in love with him."

Very well put, and yeah I don't mind the Doctor-traveling-with-companion thing b/c that's the basic premise of the show and it works well - and who else will us pathetic fangirls project ourselves onto? Re: historical figures, season 2 also had Madame Du pompawhatever, I guess if the historical figure can't be British then they must be French. I'm such an anglophile that I really don't mind that all of the planet's alien interactions seem to take place in either London, Cardiff, or the English/Scottish countryside but some variety might occasionally be nice - maybe Ireland or Liverpool? SomethingI love Matt Smith too, it's a testament to his talent (and hopefully better seasons ahead) that he is still lovable despite a horrible companion. Are we the only two that loathe Amy?

Ooooh yeah, I'd forgotten about Madame De Pompadour. BUT that is probably my favorite DW episode, or at least in my top 3.
But when I think about it, so far, the ONLY episodes that have had them on an alien planet were the two Weeping Angels episodes. I mean, the one with the star whale was TECHNICALLY in outer space, but it was still future Britain. But other than that it's been:
"The Eleventh Hour" --Earth "Victory of the Daleks" ---Past Earth "Vampires of Venice" ---Italy, Past Earth "Amy's Choice" ---mostly Earth, some in outer space in the TARDIS "Hungry Earth/Cold Blood" --Earth and under the Earth
And then forthcoming:
"Vincent and the Doctor" --Earth "The Lodger" --Earth
And then I dont know where the last two finale episodes are going to be. But at least River Song will be in those, so I won't really care as much where it is.

Okay, I discussed this with Tyler and he pointed out that almost every episode of past seasons have also taken place on Earth. They traveled around more in season 4 because they had a bigger budget then, but before that it was mostly Earth.
Also, the time-travel thing doesn't really factor in that much UNLESS it's on Earth. I mean, the difference between present day of some far-off alien planet doesn't really differ from 500 years from now on some far-off alien planet because we have no frame of reference for that. So, for the time travel to really seem important, it sort of has to deal with Earth.

Whatever. I want pretty planets and cool aliens and junk. Just a few times a season at least?
These are not hard things to fund, BBC. Go to a planet of fucking tribbles, I don't care, lol.

Yeah, but I liked it! Although I hate that everything revolves plot-wise around Amy. Lame.
Seeing Rory dressed up as a Roman soldier and Amy's "death" was fun though. And River Song! And Scott Moffatt! All good things.
Sucks that there's only one episode left of this season - I miss when all tv shows had 24 episodes! When will it come back?

Haha Liz our shows never have ever had that many episodes, that's just America ^_^ Faulty Towers itself only ever did 12 episodes across 2 series. And i think it'll come back early next year

NEXT YEAR?! Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame
Oh well at least it's still on at all. And only one more season of Amy - I'd much rather 24 episodes altogether of her than 48.
