Yeah, what ya'll said - I'm sure she killed the Doctor because he told her to.. and it'll get changed because time can be rewritten and junk. Just like I'm sure they'll come up with a way to have more than 13 doctors if the show is still successful.
I'm not super excited about vampires in Venice, but I do like Rory so we'll see how it goes.
Is it me or does Amy's bossiness/demandingness wear a bit thin sometimes? Like I think it's supposed to come across as her being charmingly headstrong/stubborn or something - and obviously you have to have some balls to travel around with the Doctor - but it seems immature and obnoxious to me. I can't decide if it's the actress or the writing, I kind of go back and forth with her. I do want her hair though.

Yeah, Amy is gorgeous and I would kill for her hair...but so far Im not all that excited about her as a character. I mean, I don't hate her or anything, but I'm not overly fond of her. Like, Donna kind of had that fiery-red-head/bossy thing too, but I don't know, I think she carried it across much better, and it was funny and endearing rather than grating. Maybe because Donna added a lot of snark to it, and that's what made it work.
Maybe I just need more time for Amy to grow on me? I don't know.
I am loving Eleventh Doctor though, although I would probably like him even more if he had a companion that I could really get behind.

Although, I DO like that she isn't clingy like Rose. She can definitely take care of herself. And she doesn't just gaze at him moonily and flutter her eyelids: Amy wanted the Doctor and by damn she was gonna go for it! And I have to admit, her line "Well, I wasn't exactly talking about something that permanent" or whatever was pretty damn funny.

Yeah she definitely has potential, she just needs to either be sweeter or snarkier, it's like they haven't quite got the character figured out. It'll help when we have more backstory from her I think, that's what helped Rose become more endearing (to me anyway).
I'm finally catching up on old Doctor Whos, just finished season 1 and the first two episodes of season 2, David Tennant's first episodes. Man does he make Christopher Eccleston look like a hack.
I liked the 9th doctor, but he was more about action and badassery and not so much with the fast-paced snark/nerd talk, and I like my doctors nerdy.
Is any of the pre-9th DW stuff worth watching? The ones I saw on Netflix didn't have such great reviews.

Awwww I don't think Christopher Eccleston was a hack! I loved 9th Doctor. I don't think he gets enough credit.
Well, I mean, DW was hugely popular for years and years before they brought it back, some of it must be good. I know that the 4th Doctor was always the most popular of the old Doctors. But yeah, I want to find some classic Who to watch sometime.

Oh no I like Christopher Eccleston fine, I really do - I'm just saying, compared to David Tennant, he's just not in the same league.
I've heard about the 4th Doctor too. Maybe we'll watch some old ones when you visit. We can get tipsy first if it helps.

Man, Amy just does not appeal to me. She's such a bitch to poor Rory! Seriously. "You can be my fiance, Doctor, but Rory YOU be my brother because I want to make moon eyes at the Doctor right in front of you like a selfish little hoe." Seriously.
I'm super excited for next week's episode, it looks really awesome, and doesn't follow the normal sort of plot pattern for DW episodes. Also, the guy who is playing the Dream Lord in the next episode is the guy who was Dobby in the HP movies.

THANK YOU! I knew that guy was familiar and it's been bugging me
Yeah Rory and the Doctor both deserve better. The whole boyfriend-companion-doctor awkard love triangle worked with Rose and Mickey and David Tennant...not so much this trio. Or not so much Amy, rather.
Next week does look promising

And Amy is gonna be around for the next season as well, I think. Maybe she'll grow on me by then. I have hope.
And yeah, Rose never treated Mickey with quite the disregard that Amy treats poor Rory, and Mickey and Rose weren't even TOGETHER at that point. (She'd already broken up with him.)
At least Amy is nice to look at.

I quite like Amy. I think it's 'cause she's ginger (the same reason I love Rupert Grint, and Sophie from Over The Rainbow [anyone here watch that?])
Oh, how I wish I was ginger

And Emma from Glee. Unfortunately, she's my favourite.

I WISH I WAS GINGER TOOOOOOO.
I would kill for Amy's hair, seriously. Or Donna's, she had great hair too. And Emma's from Glee! Yaaaay.
