So, Tyler is a huge Dr. Who fanboy, so now he's got me into it as well.
I've started off with Season 1 of the reboot and I'm on like episode ten now. I watched the episodes with the creepy gas mask children right before I went to bed last night, and totally had nightmares. Sooooo I'm gonna have to start watching the creepier of the Dr. Who episodes like, in the middle of the day apparently hahaha.
But anyway, I totally love the blend of campy, soap-opera drama and sci-fi suspense. And of course, I love British television and humor in general.
I like Christopher Eccelson as the 9th Doctor, but the tenth Doctor is much cuter! I love that skinny, bespectacled, messy haired nerd look. Tyler and I both have total crushes on him, hahahaha.

David Tennant is ridiculously cute. And I love Doctor Who.

I agree, David Tennant is always The Doctor to me. When I have more time I'll totally go back and watch the older Doctor Who's so I can argue about which Doctor is superior, just like a real nerd.

Also, I really dont find the Daleks very threatening at all, hahaha, even though they are supposed to be like the super villians.

Hahaha, I know right? They look like trashcans with poorly glued vacuum attatchments or like C3PO and R2D2 had some kind of bastard offspring.

Speaking of which, you should go check out Tyler's facebook page, it's pretty funny. I told him about that celebrity doppelganger profile picture thing that's going around, and his response was amusing.

My mum said when she was a kid the Daleks were basically upturned silver bins but she still had nightmares about them LOL
I definitely think that David was better than Christopher Eccleston.
But for me, Martha > Rose > Donna, and people always disagree with me on that. If only they hadn't written Martha so pathetically.

I haven't gotten to any companions other than Rose yet. I like Rose all right, except that she kind of looks like my pain-in-the-ass roommate, and so that throws me off a little bit hahahaha.
Tyler and I both have huge fangirl crushes on David Tennant, lol.

OMG I just watched an episode of Doctor Who where the Doctor says that he's a fan of Harry Potter and that the 7th book "made him cry." And then they told Shakespeare to yell "Expelliarmus!" at some evil witches.
WIN.

That one was first aired right before HP7 was published! Like the week before, I think.

It was "The Shakespeare Code", it was a good one.
Hahaha and dont feel alone in the having no life...I watched SEVEN episodes yesterday on Netflix, lol.
And yeah, thus far Martha does seem a little bit pathetic with her love for the Doctor. Buuuuuut I can't blame her because I would be totally in love with him too lol. But he only has love for Rooooooooooooose.

No, no. DONNA! He loves Donna. And then Martha. And then that one girl in that 18th century France episode. And that one woman from ER who was married to Dr. Greene. THEN Rose, but only a little bit, and only in that alternative universe.
That's totally how it is and not at all my ranking of his companions by personal preference. It doesn't help that I've watched only random episodes, and then completely out of chronological order.
*is off to Netflix instead of doing Math homework*
ETA: I also want to see this "Survivors" coming up, do you Brits know anything about it? I have a thing for post-apocalyptic drama, and that + British means I need to see it.
Anyone here watch Torchwood? I can't get past the main girls bangs, AT ALL. It's at travesty to an otherwise pretty decent show. Love the Dr. Who crossover w/Captain Jack.

Me and my sister went to see John Barrowman live last year, and he was bloody brilliant! He bought the Captain Jack coat out and everything.
I'm a proper little Dr Who/Torchwood nerd.
